This exhibition presents an overview of his work: portraits, shots at concerts, and images of artists in the studio or backstage.
Gijsbert Hanekroot (b. 1945) began to work as a pop photographer in the late 1960s. From 1970 to 1975 he was court photographer for the Dutch music magazine Oor; his assistant Anton Corbijn would follow him in that role. Noorderlicht shows a selection of photos that he made of David Bowie in the 1970s.
