Wiggers and Van Lohuizen are photographers who are known for their involvement with Africa. For years now they have been spending considerable time there, and both have made extensive reportages on the continent.

In contrast to many other photojournalists, he takes time to steep himself in the background of his subjects. He makes contact with the people and devotes considerable attention to recording normal lives. The photographs which he presents deal with African family life, with its relationships that are much tighter than those in the West.
