Over 450 professional visual artists and designers live and work in Friesland; many are occupied with photography. Keunstwurk, a foundation that focuses on encouraging the arts in Friesland, asked them to select work for a presentation as part of Noorderlicht 2000. From the enormous number of submissions a selection has been put together that is presented in the Museum. THe exhibition features Ton Aartsen, Annelies Alewijnse, Trude van Assem, C.P. Berbee, Gerrit Cnossen, Frank van Dijk, Patrick Gofre, Jessie van Koningsveld, Christiaan Kuitwaard, Wies Noest, Han Reeder, Bart Reeskamp, Hanshan Roebers, Dorita Savert, Anna Trap en Ra v.d. Hoek, Henk de Vries, Ids Willemsma.
