Dirks (Studio Marten Aukes) focuses on the combination of photography and digital image manipulation. He is an advertising photographer, and in addition does work on his own. This consists of projects on location, which he sets up in cooperation with a stylist and makeup artist. Dirks made the photographs for an exhibition in a lime factory in Harlingen. The model, her clothing and the manner in which she is made up seem to form a unity with the white surroundings of the factory. The photographs are still and serene in character.
