During Noorderlicht the City of Groningen and Platform GRAS present the results of the Municipal Photography Commission 1999, on the theme of "Lifestyles," carried out by Andrea Stultiëns, of Tilburg, and Edland Man, of Amsterdam. Both photographers were assigned three Groningen neighbourhoods, Oosterparkwijk, Lewenborg and Paddepoel, and the task of picturing the lifestyles they encountered there. On the basis of several residents, Stultiëns gives us insight into life in the neighbourhoods; Man made a series of photographs at a number of places which he has assembled into one characteristic picture.
