Wenda Heslinga has been working some years now in New York on the series "Abandoned Places." She photographs places where normally huge crowds of people can be found, like museums, subway stations and skyscrapers. She records these places at moments when they are deserted. "Abandoned Places" is therefore a quest for rest, emptiness and order. Form and colour play an important part in the work of Barend Peuscher. In his often abstract photographs and photographic silkscreen prints he emphasizes details that he encounters in nature and on reflecting surfaces. Poetic soft tints or, on the contrary, bright, contrasting colours playfully accentuate the forms chosen by Peuscher.
