In the series "Iceland," Christopher Taylor (Great Britain/France, b. 1958) follows the family of his Icelandic wife. He found his inspiration in the book Christianity at Glacier by Nobel Prize winner Haldor Laxness, which describes how the inhabitants of Iceland attribute powers to all sorts of natural phenomena. In this atmosphere, in which the even the smallest things are given significance, Taylor's landscape photographs alternate with intimate images from the domestic sphere.
