Ellen Floris (b. 1956), who comes from the area around Zaandam, exhibits a selection of photographs she has made since she moved to the West Friesian coast four years ago. The area around her home is her greatest source of inspiration: the immense space and emptiness, the always flat horizon with above it a threatening, or mysterious sky. Floris also has an eye for details. She visualises almost unremarkable subjects for us in a quiet but disorienting way.
