Black and white photography and darkroom technique have long been the pillars of amateur photography, but that is not true for members of the Leeuwarden Photo Club any more. Colour prints, photo labs and digital manipulation have arrived. This survey exhibition shows how, like the techniques, the content of the images has also changed. Amateur photographers no longer restrict themselves to traditional genre photography, but produce documentary work on their own lives and their immediate environment.
