During Noorderlicht the Circuit Foundation has laid out an exhibition route through six village churches in the Westerkwartier, between Groningen, Drachten and Kollum, with mind-expanding, stimulating and seductive images from everyday life.

Lettelbert and Midwolde

Janke de Vries shows photographs she made last autumn, when she spent a month in the Russian port of Murmansk

Niebert

For several years Janneke Leegstra has been photographing various monasteries in the Netherlands and other countries. Her work allows the viewer to feel something of life within the walls of an abbey.

Niezijl

Roos Kroes shows things from everyday life in a context that is not so ordinary and everyday, such as erotic pregnant women and clothing of cold cuts.

Nuis

Tranquillity, timelessness and a concentrated austerity are important elements in the portraits by Awoiska van der Molen. In her work she searches for the absence of the present and the experience of extended time.

Visvliet

Hedonism is central to the work of Agnes Kappert. Her latest photo series, 'Once upon a time...', refers to fairy tales, legends and old stories in which female characters play an important role.
