André van Huizen, from Kiel-Windeweer, is a self-taught nature photographer. His subjects are spectacular landscapes of the world, animals in their natural environment, and travel photography. These take him to the farthest corners of the globe. Deserts, jungles, polar and mountain regions alternate with one another. But he also finds beautiful places closer to home. For instance, the Groningen Noorderplantsoen appears to be a source of inspiration. Aleid Holman combines travel photography with still lifes. In this she draws inspiration from both figurative and abstract elements. With a minimum of elements she always seeks to create exciting compositions with a meditative and introverted nature.
