In their work these two visual artists cancel out the most important limitation of photography: recording time. In his installation Linear Time Photography, Groningen's Alan D. Joseph exhibits a photograph 12 metres long, with a complete train trip of 20 minutes. In it speed and time are represented audio visually. In her videos Linda Bannink approaches a photographic manner of seeing. With an almost unchanging camera position and image frame she records an extended moment in minimal everyday events. This is photography with the tension that something happens, nothing happens, or would be able to happen.
