By train

From Zwolle two trains per hour leave for Leeuwarden: at 19 and 52 minutes past the hour.

From Groningen two trains per hour leave for Leeuwarden: at 20 and 51 minutes past the hour.

By car

From the Afsluitdijk take the N31 to Harlingen from the junction of Zurich. After 30 kilometers go straight onto the N383 to Leeuwarden.

From the Flevopolder take the A6 headed to Joure. From there take the A7 to Heerenveen, and the A32 to Leeuwarden.

From Zwolle take the A32 heading for Leeuwarden.

From Drachten on the junction at Drachten take the N31 to Leeuwarden.

When you're on Leeuwarden, follow the 'P-Route' to the parking garage Hoeksterend (Fries Museum and De Manege) or the car park at the Doelestraat (Princessehof).
