A small but entrancing selection from the lesser known and less published documentary work of Maria Austria (1915-1975), one of the most prominent postwar photographers in The Netherlands. She was primarily known for her expressive and innovative theater photos. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Maria Austria Institute, in Amsterdam, which not only administers Maria Austria's archives, but also those of over twenty other, principally Amsterdam photographers.
