This series arose from Hörmann's astonishment at the world of birds. They are seen just briefly, and their presence often goes unnoticed. Only the traces of their presence that they leave behind remain, silent witnesses of a moment that has just passed, reminders of tiny events and other living beings, recorded to give them a significance of their own.
