In Italy you wish someone 'sogni d'oro' when they go to bed; it literally means 'golden dreams'. These golden dreams, the surrealistic images that arise in the period between wakefulness and sleep, are central in this collaborative project by two visual artists. They are in search of poetic images that grate against the matter-of-factness of our perception, of photographs with a logic that is both disconcerting and lucid.
