A Conqueror of Space

How does a photographer conquer a space? That of a church for instance? This question was posed to Jan Versnel. Searching through his negatives he rediscovered his images of the Museu Serralves in Porto: "magic, like a church", he said. Shortly after finishing his prints he died age 83. A posthumous exhibition and an homage to one of the most influential Dutch architectural photographers of the post-war era who combined geometric insight with an acute sense of atmosphere.
