Photo route 'Daar de liefde die onwankelbaar blijft...' (Because love that remains steadfast...)
Series of exhibitions in eight medieval churches around the city of Groningen

Ten young artists, recent graduates in photography or media art at Minerva Academy or the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen, show in eight historic churches in the Groningen countryside. They have each installed their presentation a church in their own way, striving for interaction between image and location. The series is curated by Anne Karen de Boer, art historian and final examination coordinator at Minerva Academy, with as its theme the history of the monasteries in the Northern region in the 13th century. The title is a quote from the chronicle of abbot Emo of Bloemhof (c. 1175-1237), founder of the Bloemhof monastery at Wittewierum: "Because love that remains steadfast is the root of justice..."
