In three large show windows the VHDG presents a site-specific work by the German collective OHIO, with photographs of interiors in Leeuwarden and Friesland. They are photos of living spaces that are presently being offered for sale or rental by local estate agents. Forgotten personal effects and abandoned furniture, televisions, carpets and brooms leave behind traces of a history, hidden in banal details and at the same time referring to future residents.
OHIO collects photographs from archives, newspapers, advertising and the internet - and brings them together without taking the boundaries between genres into account.
