In 1985 Edland Man (1957) graduated from the Minerva Academy in Groningen and then settled in Milan. Initially, he caused a furore as a fashion illustrator for international fashion magaziens such as Vanity, Vogue and the Dutch edition of Avenue. From 1987 onwards he applied himself to photography and acclaimed fame by his photomontages, made with and without the aid of the computer. His work can be seen in international fashion magazines and has also been used in advertising campaigns for large advertising agencies.

In Beauty's Edland Man's photomontages can be seen. A 'beauty' is not just a beautiful woman but also professional term in fashion photography, whereby the model's make up defines the photo, and not the the clothes. In backstage walhalla of the big Milanese fashion shows, he photgraphed a number of supermodels. These images are the basis of the final photomontages.
