It has been a number of years since Dirk E. de Jong finished his studies in design and photography at art academy Minerva. The exhibition Time Facade paints an image of the 'old' city of Groningen as it can still be found in old cafes, ships, offices and houses. Through the addition of an alienating contemporary element the timeless character of these spaces is better shown. Somewhere behind the facade of these cold times there still is a special and warm Groningen.
