In the work of Diana Blok (1952) man plays an important role. A large part of her work, therefore, exists of (self) portraits. In the exhibition Unbeschreiblich Weiblich? Blok shows portraits of women in which the transitory human body is a central point. Though marked by time, the bodies show beauty, strength and have great vital expression. This contrasts to the existing negative image of the elderly, the disabled and big people in our society.
