Kramer took photographs of the construction of the sewers of Groningen in 1925. He shot photographs of the diggers, the foremen and of their work. It is not clear whether Kramer was assigned to take the photographs, or whether he took them on his own initiative. Modern prints of Kramer's glass negatives are on show, as Kramer's original prints are not part of the Groninger Archives' collection.

Kramer, son of Groninger photographer J.G. Kramer, has lived and worked in Groningen almost all his life, and was a versatile photographer.
