Van de Roemer portrayed eight young talented artists from Amsterdam and its surroundings, who are not yet well known or famous. Van de Roemer photographed them in their studio's, capturing people who are passionately working on their product within the space of a few square metres. They are looking for a way to come forward with their art, or, to be discovered. Van de Roemer wants to lead them out of oblivion and introduce them to a large audience. During Noorderlicht '99 a work of the portrayed photographer will be hung next to each photo.
