Molenschot takes pictures from a strange perspective of people who are lost in thoughts. The photographer tries to take the viewer on a journey through the world of his personal, extremely intense experiences: "I basically borrow a strength with which I revitalise my memories from who or what I photograph." The image that he then creates is a new translation of a piece of the past. He does thus not only mirror others, but he also mirrors himself. "The image must be challenging so as to arouse questions or evoke a new story and make my own story disappear." |
