The photos show four variations in photographic imagination; Jonker depicts looking at objects and situations, Pees shows alienation in spaces, Van Wierts shows his vision on life and death and Behrens shows the layers of a moment. All photographers want to expose subdued feelings by recording situations and places that have an emotional value to them. There is always a trigger that causes the camera to be pointed, a moment to be chosen or a symbol to be found.
