Jesse's photographs portray the atmosphere of people in the fifties in the Netherlands and other European countries. In Bookshop Godert Walter a selection of Jesse's photos is being exhibited.

Jesse became famous with his book 'Vrouwen uit Parijs' (Women from Paris), published in many countries, even including Japan, in which he gives his vision on the Parisian woman in the fifties. Remarkable in his work are his interest for humans and the city, or country's, distinctive atmosphere, like the representations of Rome street life and London's night life.
