Using the title 'If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home By Now,' Liebscher took photos of UFO's flying over the USA. The photos were taken on November 20th 1987 and appeared to be un-manipulated. On the 2nd of December Liebscher's house was first visited by an alien. He wanted to record the creature on film, but he was struck by a blue beam outside his house that froze him, while in the meantime the alien disappeared behind the house. As soon as he was able to move again he took a photograph which showed that it was the UFO that had projected the blue beam. On the 12th of January, Liebscher took another photograph that led to his unmasking.
Bo exhibits his photos under the name 'Memory of Heidelberg,' along with a collection of photo albums containing holiday snaps, bar happenings and accidentally recorded events. In his work, he asks himself the question whether photography's many ways of portraying the world is really of general importance, or whether they are only of importance to the maker. |
