Mooibroek and Janssen started the photo project 'Peter' in 1998. In different locations in Berlin and Switzerland they photographed an invented character. The photos depict situations from the life of this fictitious character, which, combined with text, produces the effect of a biography. Presenting the photos in a series, effects a complete picture of Peter and allows the viewer to get to know him and his world. "It's the idea to give Peter a long life, and that's why he accompanies us wherever we go, taking in our impressions, our experiences and everyday activities, but in his own way and more fitting with the character we imagine him to be. Peter is with us."
