During the Noorderlicht 1999 Photofestival, outside of the two main locations, 67 additional photo-exhibitions will take place. Tey are divided into three groups: exhibitions in galleries and museums in the city of Groningen, exhibitions in galleries and museums in the province of Groningen, and exhibitions in the 'open podium' with mainly regional (amateur-)photographers.

This year, more galleries than ever contribute to Noorderlicht. Since each location curates its own program, there is a wonderful diversity in the images that are shown. Below you will find an overview of the galleries and museums in the province of Groningen.
