The series "Mala Noche" shows life in the Mexican slums. D'Agata (1961) takes pictures of people on the edge or fringe of society, whose daily task is survival. The photographer penetrates the life of his main characters. The women he portrays are not afraid to expose themselves in front of the camera; showing their naked bodies is as everyday as eating and drinking, as playing cards, or as the hen-fights shown in other photos. D'Agata does not show a photographic documentary but a reflection of his intimate experiences. "Mala Noche" is about sex, life and death: pure human existence deprived of all its embellishments.
