Mancuso (1952) takes pictures of people in action, their faces speaking a language that everyone understands. He photographs that which crosses his path, waiting for a specific moment when there is a beautiful image to catch on camera. Nothing is prepared, the photo is taken instinctively. "Sometimes, on the days when the light is exactly right." In most cases the photo reveals more than the photographer's conscious intention when taking the photo. The viewer can therefore see things that Mancuso himself had not even noticed. "The photograph partly comes from life, partly out of thin air." Each work is a vast area in which myths, reality, memories and dreams meet and melt together.
