Antoine d'Agata (1961) makes pictures about people on the edge of society, who's only task in life is to survive. D'Agata is a member of the French agency VU and his works are published on a regular basis in 'Liberation' and 'L'Humanité'. In 1999, d'Agata staid some months as an artist in residence in Gaza on invitation by the Institut Français. After this period he went back several times to Israel and Palestine. He shows works about both sides of the conflict, the series on this page was made very recently in Palestine.

He took part in the main exhibitions of the Noorderlicht photofestival in 1999 ("Wonderland") and in 2001 ("Sense of space"). At the moment he is working on the 2002 photography commission of Noorderlicht.
