Henrik Saxgren (1953) is a distinguished photo journalist also seen as the mentor of Danish photography. At the end of 2001 Saxgren went for a month to Palestine, to the Gaza strip. With his large format camera he made his "Landscapes of War," a series of impressive photographs which show a devastated landscape. His series not only shows an image of the catastrophic life under those circumstances and devastated surroundings, but simultaneously it is also a sediment of the fear he felt there. |
