Larry Towell (1953) is a member of the Magnum photo agency and has built up an international reputation with his engaged reports, among them about El Salvador and the Mennonites. In 1994 he was awarded with the World Press Photo Award for a picture about Palestinian youngsters. Four years later his book "Then Palestine" was published.

Towell's work was shown in "Garden of Eden," the main exhibition during the Noorderlicht 1997 festival.
