Wall House #2 is an eccentric urban residence that was realized in the north of the Netherlands. The designer, the American architect and architectural theoretician John Hejduk (1929-2000) argued that the first duty of architecture is to challenge and inspire: 'It is essential that the architect creates works that are thought provoking, sense provoking and ultimately life provoking'. Wall House #2 is the only residence designed by Hejduk that has ever been realized anywhere in the world.

Commissioned by Noorderlicht and the Wall House #2 Foundation, eight photographers stayed in Wall House #2. The condition was that they give free rein to their ideas and emotions and transform these into original and personal photography. The result is an homage to both the ideas of John Hejduk and to photography, architecture and fantasy.
