Fifty Years of Future is a collaboration project between photographers from the GKf guild and the Noorderlicht Photofestival. It is not the first time the GKf collaborates with the festival and the closely linked USVA Noorderlicht Photogallery. In the early eighties many GKf photographers have presented their first exhibition in the gallery, and up to now many members find their platform here. From the early years stem projects like 'Ethnic Minorities' and 'Work', large travelling exhibitions, put together from the archives of mainly GKF members. Another example of the long tradition is the exhibition 'Doubleprint', a project done in 1990 for the first edition of the Noorderlicht photofestival, that was afterwards bought by a university archive. |
